Water Street Studios is honored to have Lisa Gloria as our Guest Juror for our 2011 Summer Show (June 3rd - September 10th). Out of the many artists who submit for the show, our juring committee has selected seven Honorable Mentions Artists and one Best of Show.

Best of Show artists will be awarded: Free two week Solo Show in Water Street Studios 2nd floor gallery, valued at $200.

  • Honorable Mention artists will be awarded: Announcement on Water Street Studios website, submitted artwork images on Anniversary Postcards, and Honorable Mention Acknowledgment Name Tag in the gallery.

Best of Show Artists will be announced during the June 3rd 2011 7pm Opening.
Also on June 3rd in the 2nd floor Gallery, Water Street Studios will be hosting a Winter Student Show (Grade School Students)

Water Street Studios invites aspiring artists in grades 1 -5 to submit their best artwork for our second annual Fox Valley Young Artists' exhibition. The theme for this year's show is WATER. This show is open to all elementary aged students in the Fox Valley are and will be held from June 3rd through 26th.

Lisa Gloria graduated from the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, IL, in 1989. She studied art briefly at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana, and works from her studio in downtown Aurora at 7 West Downer Place, which also shows the work of 20+ local Aurora artists.

A mother of 5 daughters, Lisa's work is at once feminine and timeless, with aspects of realism, impressionism and expressionism. She seeks to create compelling images that engage the viewer on personal level, drawing the gaze into the picture plane, as though this moment was captured solely for you. For more information visit
