Waterline Writers

3rd Sunday of Every Month, 7-9pm

Waterline Writers has created an event for lovers of literature who are eager to discover the best of local writing talent. On the third Sunday of each month at 7pm in Water Street Studios gallery (160 S. Water St., Batavia), talented published and not-yet-published writers are selected to read their work in this free public event. Readings include novel excerpts, short stories, poetry, plays, lyrics, screenplays, spoken word, experimental and multimedia work, etc. Refreshments are provided.

Waterline Writers presents a diverse lineup of writers on Sunday, May 19th, at 7 pm. Hear spoken word artist Adam Gottlieb, poets John Arends and Donna Pucciani, and fiction writers John Drake and Anne Veague explore the strength of our connections to each other and to place.
Adam will also introduce us to the new and wonderful world of Wordplay at Water Street, a monthly event for teens and college-aged students, beginning Friday, May 24th 7-10 pm. Wordplay includes writing workshops at 7 PM, an Open Mic at 8 PM and performances by Adam and other featured poets at 9 PM. Wordplay at Water Street will continue on the 4th Friday of every month.
Three Plaid Farmers will also attend Waterline Writers this month to offer information on shares in their locally grown, organic produce for this summer.
