"Geometric Creations in Art Architecture and Origami: The comparison of significant art, sculpture and architecture to my innovative use of metal mesh to create 'Origane' folded metal sculpture." Lane Allen, AIA, LEED AP

First in the Water Street Studios Lecture series, Lane will explore the link between origami and other forms of art and architecture. From cubist paintings to the architecture of Frank Gehry, this lecture will explore both traditional origami and Lane's unique "Origane" (metal folding) in contrast to many interesting aspects of art and architecture around the world. Lane will start the evening with a demonstration of his Origane work.
This lecture is free for Artist Members and only $5 for other members and the general public.
Please RSVP by using the email link on the right.
The lecture analyzes the influence of origami on art and architecture. It is our hope that this lecture will be educational and inspirational...and a bit of fun too.
